A leading Sales & Service Training firm wished to develop a strategic tool in custom lightning component to analyse complex selling opportunities and develop strategies for success. A lightning component design  was proposed which would leverage SLDS and grid system for responsiveness.

 Business Requirement

  • The client wished to develop a strategic tool in custom lightning component to analyse complex selling  opportunities and develop strategies for success.
  • Focus should lie on customer’s decision making process and individual people who make the buying process .
  • It should have the ability to highlight Red Flags that establish flaws in the Strategic Sales Position.
  • It should reflect which opportunities could be won and how to win them fast, which one needs to be dropped/parked because timing is not right or value can’t be added to the customer.
  • A clear and concise way should be put forward to move ahead with the account opportunity and hopefully help the facilitation of its closure.

Solution

  • As part of the solution, a lightning component design was proposed which would leverage SLDS and grid system for responsiveness.
  • The lightning component was a complex one which had features like
  • Drag and drop
  • Slider
  • Custom lookups
  • Dynamic tables
  • Rich Text editor
  • Dynamic field highlighting
  • To implement the above features, lot of reusable components were created

Technologies : Apex, SLDS, Aura, jquery, lightning component events.

  • Impressive design with an easy to use User Interface.
  • Handled lot of lightning limitations and built custom components with the use of jquery and aura.
  • One page application to handle multiple user scenarios.
