DEI @ Thinqloud
We are certain that all employees have gone through the induction and many of you have
gone through major parts of the policies. We would like to get your attention to the parts
related to Diversity, Equality and Inclusion with an intention that these are understood well
by all of us and practiced as well. Let us look at a few examples and how it is practiced.
Being aware of it is the first step. And the next step, we would like to emphasise on is
participation from all of you, within Thinqloud and within your community.
As an organization, we have employees from diverse economic, social, religious and
geographical backgrounds. You are aware of the goal setting, appraisal, and recognition
policies for sure. These are merit based and we as an organization take specific efforts to
train and teach those who have the right attitude no matter how long they take to learn.
There are targeted training and certifications sponsored by the company keeping in mind
personal goals as well. We have people from all major religious faiths, from about 10
different states with the country. Our workforce is powered 40% by women and they form a
majority in the leadership team.
We would like to point out that there are specific expectations from the employees about
ethical behaviour. As stated in the polices a few important points:
- We shall not discriminate based on cast, creed, gender, etc.
- Bribing in any form is strictly prohibited (Please refer to anti bribery policy)
- Sexual harassment will not be tolerated (Refer Harassment policy)
- There will be strict actions taken for any misbehaviour
Thinqloud takes specific efforts to upskill all the employees across technical and soft skills.
This stems from the fact that the founders believe that besides technical skills all employees
need to be well rounded and balanced individuals caring wholeheartedly for their customers
success. The founders strongly believe that building well rounded individuals is key for their
growth and that of the organization as a whole. Hence there are extensive training plans,
personalized plans for specific individuals, goal settings and mentoring. A recent initiative
targeted at building good habits at an individual level across the board is an important
program and we are sure you all benefited from it. We anticipate that several of you will
make best use of it, imbibe those values and get ready to grab the opportunities as we scale
up and grow in the coming years.
Even though there is a wide age difference across employees at Thinqloud we encourage
that we all address each other using our first names which is the foundation that each
indivigual is an equal no matter age and experience.
Another notable point is a specific consideration for the woman returning after a long gap in
employment post marriage or post a baby. We have number of such examples. In several
instances we have given them a platform to reskill themselves and have absorbed them into
the main stream. We are very glad that several of them are performing key activities for the
company including key leadership roles. This really started as a focused initiative some time
back where we had invited about 75 such ladies for a day long workshop with an objective
of educating them about Salesforce, how they can get started with the training on
Salesforce, and make a career in it. The event was then called – “Woman-In-Tech”. We
recruited some of them at the end of the event. We are known to be a good place for ladies
to come to when they wish to restart their careers. We would like you to spread the word
even further.
All in all, it is our appeal that we build a culture of diversity and inclusion. We are certain
several of you do practice this. Please do share your efforts and contributions in building a
diverse culture within your social life. Specific to the organization we expect you train and
help your juniors and peers, irrespective of who they are, and give them a chance to learn
from you and grow in their professional journey.
